Cashmere Radio
For one evening, Cashmere Radio will transform the stage tower of the former Karlshorst theatre into a watery science fiction.
Cashmere’s artists will unfold an exercise in collective world building, producing post-apocalyptic sound stations that, each in their own way, seek communication, renewal, and kinship. From within the belly of the theatre—conceived as the depths of a newly submerged world— radiophonic storytelling will meld with experimental music and abstract soundscapes, creating a fragmented deep-listening experience.
Audience members are encouraged to sink into lounge seating and be guided through radio signals as they gaze up into the theatre’s stage tower. While some performances will be purely aural, others will include visual performative and video elements.
