Sonya Schönberger „Berliner Zimmer“
Since 2018 the visual artist Sonya Schönberger has been realising, in cooperation with the Stadtmuseum Berlin, the „Berliner Zimmer“, a continuously growing archive of video interviews with Berlin residents of diverse origins, backgrounds and generations. At self-chosen locations, they give an account of their biography and what currently moves them. The city in which they live forms the bracket. The result is a collection of the present time in which the history of the city unfolds via personal stories. Five new interviews were conducted in Karlshorst for KAHO Interim 2021, which will again be on view in the stage tower during the Long Night of Pictures.
