Open Air Cinema: Unser kurzes Leben (DEFA Classics)
Not only the building concepts of her mentor Professor Reger go against the grain for Franziska (Simone Frost): the young architect wants to tear down her entire life and build it up anew. So she leaves her drunken husband, rejects the offer to work in Reger’s prestigious team and takes charge of planning a residential project in the provinces. Franziska’s vigour alienates the bureaucrats, but also brings her new allies. Lothar Warneke adapted Brigitte Reimann’s socio-critical novel “Franziska Linkerhand” as a sensitive development drama.
